So what's in it?

Actives

Pre-shot contains a mix of scientifically studied active ingredients that have been shown to improve athletic performance. Beta-alanine and caffeine are key components in pre-workouts, we’ve combined with beetroot extract and arginine to increase nitric oxide.

  • Beta Alanine

A non-essential amino acid that is produced naturally in the body, it aids the production of carnosine, which is a compound that plays a key role in muscle endurance in high-intensity exercise. Carnosine acts as a buffer and reduces the level of acid present in muscles, therefore helping reduce muscle fatigue.

  • Caffeine

Caffeine increases mental alertness and physical energy. It blocks the receptors of a neurotransmitter called adenosine, and increases the level of other neurotransmitters in your brain that regulate your energy levels. Reducing the feeling of tiredness and drowsiness, temporarily lifting fatigue and increasing alertness.

  • Beetroot Extract

A nitrate rich ingredient, this is converted to nitric oxide which supports physical performance through vasodilation (widening of blood vessels) and muscle contractility (increase in the force of contraction). A key effect of dietary nitrate is that it reduces the oxygen demand of exercise, meaning the muscles need less oxygen to maintain a given work rate, thereby improving exercise efficiency, fatigue resistance and exercise performance.

  • Arginine

Supports the production of nitric oxide, it expands the blood vessels by relaxing the muscles of their walls. Resulting in lowered blood pressure and increased blood flow to the muscles during your workout.

Arginine

Acute L-arginine supplementation reduces the O2 cost of moderate-intensity exercise and enhances high-intensity exercise tolerance: See the study here.

Mushrooms

Our unique mushroom complex contains adaptogens specifically selected to improve your performance. We use extracts that are highly concentrated, so you only get the most nutritious parts of the mushroom, and do not have to compromise on the earthy flavour. New research is continuously being published showing the vast range of benefits of mushrooms.

  • Cordyceps

Improves respiratory capacity, supports ATP production and is shown to increase VO2 max capacity.

  • Chaga

Is shown to increase the glycogen content of liver and muscle and decrease blood lactic acid and serum urea nitrogen levels.

  • Reishi

Decreases blood lactic acid, increases hepatic glycogen and protects against exhaustive exercise-induced oxidative stress. It is also shown to enhance circulation and heart health.

  • Lion's Mane

Improves cardiovascular endurance, increases energy levels, boosts metabolism, and reduces inflammation.

  • Tremella

Increases production of ATP, improves blood flow and therefore oxygen uptake in muscles.

Vitamin B

B vitamins are essential for energy production at a cellur level. They do not directly provide the body with fuel energy, but play a key role in the complex biochemical process that breaks glucose into ATP, releasing energy from the food we consume.

  • B3

Contributes to the normal energy-yielding metabolism and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

  • B5

Supports blood cell production and the conversion of food you eat into energy.

  • B6

Essential for normal protein and glycogen metabolism, nervous & psychological function, and maintaining normal red blood cells.

  • B12

Supports the function of the nervous system and the production of red blood cells. It helps convert food into energy and reduce fatigue.
